Crashed and Burned

Wouldn't you know it, it had to happen the night before I was leaving for another weeklong business trip. The home computer decided to crap out while I was trying to load some Sydney pictures. I guess she was just too cute for the PC to handle. Now, it just sits there grinning at me with a stupid message "Your file is corrupted..." CORRUPT THIS!! you stupid computer!! The pictures of Sydney will have to wait until I get home and take the PC to the Geek Squad.

Ahem...a bit more composure, por favor. You know what's really baking my noodles right now? It's trying to blog from Puerto Rico on my company laptop, in the middle of the night, and not understanding a darn thing on the webpage. Why? Because it's in Spanish, and I don't speak Spanish. Nada. Zip. Ay, chihuahua. For whatever reason, the blog page signs me in through Google.pr instead of Google.com so here I am, going through the motion of "creacion de entradas" so I can "publicar" the darn nueva entrada.

What I have been trying to do during the last 24 hours is to write a new blog entry about Sydney's new haircut. They (Tracie and one of her cousins) chopped off my baby's hair while I was away on business. I came home to find Tracie holding a baby boy, looking through the front door and waving at his (her?) dad. Ack!! Wellllll, actually, it was not a bad cut at all. I thought Sydney was rather cute although I wasn't too crazy about the straight cut across the back of her neck. The front and sides were awesome. Her new do made her face looked even more round and adorable. I heard she threw a serious fit during the cut. Served them right.

Sydney has really grown and changed during the last few weeks while I was mostly gone. She learned to click her tongue, imitate some facial expressions of mine, chase me around the room and even hold her bottle now and then. Best of all, they told me at the daycare center that she has learned to enjoy sitting with the other babies. She's also eating A LOT!! They told me she ate more than most of the boys there. Atagirl!! 18 lbs 15 ozs and growing at 11 month.

Anyway, Happy Valentine's Day, Sydney Girl!! Daddy loves you!! And Daddy didn't forget about Mommy. I sent Tracie a dozen roses to her company on Feb. 13. She received them and called me last night to say thanks. It was the least I could do for being gone on Valentine's Day. Sydney experienced her first Valentine's Day with a couple of "Baby's 1st Valentine's Day cards from Mommy and Daddy. I'm sure those will go into the keepsake box before long. It's very cool to be Sydney's first Valentines. We're so blessed.
